HDA 2001 Convention
This year's HDA convention format will be slightly different from those in the past. We will begin the convention as usual with the board meeting at 1:00PM on Thursday, September 13. This meeting is open to the entire membership and is a great opportunity for all members to see how the Association really works. On Friday, September 14, we will have our breakfast meeting at 8:00AM. There will be two guest speakers discussing changes in the market and market conditions. The breakfast will be followed by the general meeting, which will cover the results of the COST OF DOING BUSINESS SURVEY. So please fill out your survey and get it returned as soon as possible. If you have not yet received one, please contact Jeff Wirkkala at 503-692-6620. Following the results of the cost of doing business survey, we will break into several small groups discussing important topics for helping run your business. This is a great opportunity to lean from those around the country trying to achieve the same goal in business that you are, MAKING A LARGER PROFIT. Now for the change! This year we have elected to have the first ever cocktail reception instead of the evening dinner. This will be an excellent opportunity to get to know your fellow members in a gorgeous, relaxed atmosphere overlooking the mighty Mississippi River and the French Quarter. The cocktail reception is being held at The Riverview Room on the fourth floor of the Old Jackson Brewery. Cocktails and hors d'oeuvres with flavors of the South will be served from 4:00PM until 7:00PM. This new format will give members and their spouses the time to mingle and share business ideas, while having the evening free to take in the sights, sounds and tastes of New Orleans. Transportation will be provided so that everyone will have the chance to partake in the Friday evening NHLA Dinner Dance Cruise, or plan an evening in the town on your own. We are looking forward to New Orleans, and cannot wait to see y'all! HDA 2001 Convention Schedule
*(Please remember that New Orleans is an expensive town, and we have done all we can to keep costs down.)
